What should I do before the movers arrive?

• Set aside any essentials or valuables you want to keep with you (medications, important documents, chargers, overnight bag, etc.).

What can I leave to the movers?

• Disassembly and Reassembly:
  Beds, tables, and other furniture with hardware. We will take care of all of it.

• Protection of your furniture:
  We use stretch wrap (included in our hourly rate) to protect couches, mattresses, and anything with moving parts.

• Dressers and Cabinets:
  You can leave dresser drawers packed. We will wrap the entire piece so the drawers stay secure and everything stays protected.

• Loading, unloading, and placement:
  Tell us where items go, and we will place everything exactly where you want it.

We provide all necessary, high-quality packing materials, including boxes of every size, packing paper, wardrobe boxes, and other specialty supplies such as TV boxes and picture cartons. Everything we bring is designed to protect your belongings and make the packing process efficient and safe.

Our team is trained in industry standard best practices, which means we know how to pack fragile items, electronics, artwork, and office equipment securely. We also label and organize boxes in a way that makes unpacking simple and stress-free.

Yes, we move most specialty items including safes, pianos, large furniture, and delicate or bulky items. We also specialize in fitness equipment such as treadmills, weight machines, racks, and ellipticals.
We do not move hot tubs.

Yes. For safety and legal reasons, there are certain items we are not able to transport. These include:

• Prescription medications
  These should always remain in your possession.

• Guns and firearms
  We cannot transport firearms of any kind.

• Live ammunition
  Ammunition cannot be moved on our trucks.

• Flammable or combustible materials
  This includes propane tanks, gasoline, lighter fluid, paint thinner, and any other hazardous chemicals.

If you are unsure whether an item is allowed, feel free to ask. We will help you determine the safest way to handle it on moving day.

We accept both cash and card payments at the conclusion of your move. If you decide to pay using a credit or debit card, please be aware that a 3 percent convenience fee will be added to the final bill.

We keep things simple.

The Other Side Movers does not charge deposits and we do not charge any penalties to change or cancel your reservation.
